Things don’t turn out the way you want them to

It feels good to be upfront once in a while and not in my brother’s shadow all the time.

I made a visit to the school (St. John’s) the other day to catch up with friends. I miss our lobby chitchat days.

A new school, a brand new start. It might be hard transitioning from a private to a public school but we don’t have much of a choice, do we? It’s that school, or no school at all.

  1. I hope the toilet have doors. Even better, with locks.
  2. All the chicks there are in tudongs. So that takes time getting used to. It is a big turnoff. Really.
  3. They lock the front gates at 7.20AM. I usually reach school at 7.30AM++ sometimes even late. So, that needs practice. If I do get locked out (I know I will), I wouldn’t mind walking home. It’s a stone’s throw away from home. Okay, not really. But I don’t mind walking the distance.
  4. No more roaming around town during recess. The new school is located at a residential area.
  5. Say goodbye to my slightly long hair. Strict rules, there.
  6. I hope they do not enforce MIB (Melay Islam Beraja, dumbass. Not Men in Black) there.
  7. I don’t get why we HAVE to wear white socks. Its stupid.
  8. No more nice bluish grey slacks. They have the most hideous shade of green for school colors.
  9. I wonder if mobile phones are allowed in the school premises. If not, that needs a heck of a lot getting used to.
  10. I wonder if they have wireless internet. Hmm… But that’s asking too much for a school that big.

I only set foot into the school for less than 15 minutes and I already hate it. I’m talking about Saidina/Saydina/Saiyidinna (sp?) Ali. Since I cannot spell it, yet, let us just call the new school, St. Ali. Haha.

Thank God, I’ll be there for only 2 years then it is time for school/college/uni hunting, again.

I am considering Maths, Biology, General Paper and Accounting for AS Levels, for now. I have second thoughts.

Like I said before, Things don’t turn out they way you want them to. And sometimes, when they don’t, they can turn out just a little bit better. So who knows it could be a great school, after all.
