Cheating? Then they could confiscate it during an examination. But they don't realize how much hassle it can cause without phones. Why can teachers bring phones to school? About those signs. And you're right about them being "hawk-eyed". Not only we're not allowed to bring phones to school anymore (although a lot of students still bring them anyway), the librarians won't allow the students to use the PC at the library unless we have permission from our tutors.
