Cooking Shows

by affy on March 6, 2009

I enjoy watching cooking shows. I am not sure what exactly draws my attention to these type of shows, considering that I am not so much of a foodie myself, but I kinda find pleasure watching the process of converting simple raw ingredients into a good wholesome meal. I don’t really give much attention to the finished product.

I particularly enjoy watching Nigella Lawson and Jamie Oliver.

Nigella Lawson for her awesome baking skills and her flirtatious way of presenting. Her shows are well peppered with fancy adjectives (I feel like I am attending an English class) and filled with a good dose of moaning (it’s almost like watching porn). She is also good to look at.

Jamie Oliver for his quick and simple way of cooking. And his unique ability to reduce the number of times he washes his hands. How can you not hand-toss a salad in dressing and continue preparing the next dish without even washing your oily hands? I also like how he talks to the mystery woman hiding behind the camera — the one who occasionally ask questions.
