KB Bloggers Night, my take

Monday, January 28th, 2008

I am probably the last one to update.

Arrived with Mr. Gorgeous, Archery Girl and Bashbash. Except for Archery Girl, both whom I officially met for the first time that night.

At the reception, I met DIY extraordinaire for the first time. And I believe her exact words were “Are you wearing powder?” AHAHAHH. I’m not even going to elaborate on that.

Also at the front door was Lois Lane in her tiger print dress, looking very busy (and important) as ever.

Met the man behind World Of Pablo shortly after. Thanks for the kind advice man!

Shared a table with Mr. & Mrs. Jurin, Mr. & Mrs. Gokil, Mr. Gorgeous, Bashbash and Archery girl.

Quiet Mr. & Mrs. Jurin disappeared halfway through the night. Word on the street is that they were abducted by aliens.

Mrs. Gokil almost had a wardrobe disaster. I am so sorry, I just had to pointed that out. HAAHHA

Also met/chatted with Iskandar, Maurina, Beyla, Alin (Kurapak), Cici, Bling-bling Sisters and many others too (forgive me if I forgot to mention).

Noone left empty handed, food was great, entertainment was awesome –It was a successful night. I didn’t even realize the appointed MC of the night didn’t turn up. Congratulations to Bin-Khalid of Arab Families and Liza of KBhappening. Also to Maurina, who hogged all the big/grand prizes that night.

KB Bloggers Night

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

I’ll be there tonight:

Free Photo Hosting - Photolava.com

To answer your pre-event questions:

  • No, I’m not a robot that needs to be plugged in every afternoon.
  • No, I am not a fictional character. I do exist.
  • No, I am not some kind of Government experiment trying to brainwash everyone through blogging.
  • Yes, I will only talk to people with a Twitter account, so don’t bother approaching if you don’t have one (AHHA, just kidding).

And uh, about 4 times a week.

See you there and please don’t hog the refreshment table.

Dramatic loser

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

I was Nonnie-ed, Pynk-ed and Pablo-ed all at the same time.

Congratulations to Nonnie for winning!
My predictions were absolutely right and in perfect order too!
Nonnie, Is the trophy edible or not?

A friend told to be a dramatic loser. This is me being a dramatic loser:

I am so mad at you guys! So mad.
We’re all fighting.

Oh, you want me to be friend you now? No!
We’re all fighting. All of us.

Okay? Alright?
You know? I’m Done. Done.
I don’t even know what I am done with.
But I am done with something.

I am gonna go and weep in my little corner.
And maybe gamble my entire life savings away.
See what I have resort to?

And if you’re wondering, the kitty died.
I am so sorry. It was so sad.

p/s: Remind me not to make fun of cute little critters ever again. I was almost stoned to death at school the other day because of this. BAD IDEA. BAD IDEA.

I want you!

Monday, September 10th, 2007

So when I am having troubles with the site, the very wonderful Simpur decides to announce the very first Bruneian blog awards ‘The Simpur Bloggies awards‘. I haven’t won a trophy (not so big in sports) in my life. So, if you like me, like reading my nonsensical entries, or perhaps, extremely sadden that I haven’t won a trophy, please nominate me. Haha. I’m serious.

If I get nominated, I’ll try my very very and absolute best not to ‘ponteng puasa’ with my friends this year. Haha.

If I win the personal blog category, I’ll fake a fall at the local supermarket in front of a large crowd (hopefully, during payday when everyone’s grocery shopping). I might also make someone throw an apple to my head. All this, in the form of a video blog.

If I win the blogger of the year award, I’ll run around naked around Belait Town with my spanking new laptop. Okay, let’s not go there yet.

This is a sample nomination e-mail and make sure ‘Blog A’ says therejects.org. Send your nominations to dstmm.content@simpur.net.bn. You can also win prizes for just nominating! (Click here for more info)

If you want to see me embarrass myself in front of everybody by falling flat to my face and see someone throw a fruit to my head, nominate and vote for me. Spread the message!

Remember when my laptop died? Yes, I am still using my sister’s laptop.
Yes, I want a trophy and I am desperate, you might want to tell Simpur that too.

If you’re wondering, I was trying to be funny

I was Facebook-ed

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

Well well look what I have here… a Facebook account! After an invitation from the wonderful Emma GoodEgg and a recommendation from Tina, I caved and signed up. Miraculously, the signing up process went smoothly unlike my previous attempts.

With a Facebook account under my belt, I decided to give my Friendster password to anyone who wants to read the SMSA Forums. They have the luxury of accepting/making comments and approving/rejecting friend requests for me. :)

On Monday, we had a little excursion to the DST Headquarters. It was alright.
(Flickr Album here) (DST Photo Gallery - you can play spot the bloggers here)

I am very terrible at remembering faces and names. Whilst at the DST Headquarters theatre, I spotted a very familiar face (potential blogger) but couldn’t seem to remember his name. I know he is somewhere tucked in the Brunei blog-o-sphere somewhere. So if you’re the one giving a nice presentation on Simpur services that day (the one with the macbook problems, haha) please, please do comment (say Hi or whatever). I can’t sleep well at night because of this. HAHA.

Yes, yes, the only reason I’m updating is because Twitter is on the operating table (maintenance).
Nahhh, kidding.

Update: FOUND HIM! Haha. Thanks to my awesome stalking skills and… Facebook of course.

Mr BR is back?

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

Mr BR is back? Come follow my lead, but don’t stare at my ass.

The hero dies in this one

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

A massive thanks to Mr. Rano for the site plug. I know its a little late but its better than never, right? Haha.

I’m getting Winning Eleven the first thing tomorrow. Since my football buff cousin is here for his weekly sleepover, I better bribe him for a crash course in Winning Eleven 101. And who knows? I might be good at it. Very unlikely. Hahaha.

Proper post tomorrow. If I’m in good writing mode, I might throw in a movie mini-review.

Until next entry, eat those vegetables. Even the green ones.

Brunei Online

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

Oh, look, Emma’s Brunei Online 2006 is up!

Before anybody comes up with some whacked out theory - why my expression looks like I’ve seen Oprah Winfrey naked, I would like to explain myself. Haha. Imagine yourself plunging into a pool repeatedly until a good mid-air shot is taken. After the first plunge, I have water up my nose and in my ears. I was instructed to do the “bomb” on the second jump. I would do it properly but my main focus after my little incident was to stay alive. Other than that, I don’t want to leave the photoshoot with a sore ass from a water slap. Plus, I was wearing contact lenses. Long story, short: pluging into a pool, smiling and at the same time taking a deep breath isn’t easy. Really.

After the photoshoot, I left with a new found respect for models. They aren’t just carbon-based entities living on the planet with great skin and perfect teeth. They can talk, have feelings and aren’t just perfectly manicured clothes hanger. What they do for a living is hard. I think.

I would like to thank Emma and her brilliant mind for coming up with the swell idea. And for being a wonderfull hostess in her magnificent Bijou Bungalow. Thanks for lending the shorts too!

A special shoutout goes to Maurina for being the only one who seems familiar (thank God for online photos) and who pointed me in the right direction. Since I don’t know 99% of the people at the photoshoot, I would’ve been a lost puppy. Maurina, a life-saver, indeed.

House M.D is on! Gotta jet!

16 and the world just opened wide

Sunday, January 7th, 2007

Watch out for Emma Good Egg, next week!
The photoshoot was awesome and tiring.
Will elaborate later.

I slept all day today. I slept at around 11pm last night. Woke up at 8.30am, in the morning! Since it was raining cats and dogs when I got up, I went back to Dreamland. How can I say no to sleep on a rainy day? I know - no self-control, it’s sad. It was 5.30pm when I woke up.

Unless you want to hear about my wicked dreams of Jessica Alba, I did nothing blogworthy today.

Until next entry - re-duce, re-use, re-cycle.
