Britain must-see castles

Friday, August 17th, 2007

Britain is a spectacular place to visit, I think it should be one of the places you should see before you die. As most of you know, Great Britain is well know for their magnificent castles. Most of these century old castles can be found in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Cardiff province.

In Edinburgh, Scotland, you can see the Edinburgh castle which resides on top of a volcano. It houses well-known exhibition such as Scottish Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny. They also have the St. Margaret’s Chapel, which is Edinburgh oldest building. The Hotels in Edinburgh gives you the accomodation and the view of the skyline, because you can’t see this in a day.

Seen the Edinburgh castle? Get ready to book your Hotels in Glasgow. Continuing your journey to visit Britain’s great castle, you can make a stop at the Stirling Castle in Glasgow. Dubbed one of Scotland’s greatest castles, it is a royal castle in the countryside. It houses medevil artifacts, a great way to learn Scotland’s history.

Then, make a reservation for Hotels in Cardiff, as the fascinating Cardiff castle and Caernarfon castle completes your tour of Britain’s must-see castles.

Smorty, smorty, smorty

Friday, August 3rd, 2007

Smorty is one of those get paid for blogging companies. If you’re new, so what does ‘get paid to blog‘ actually means?

Basicly, advertisers to pay you to write about their products on their page. You have the luxury to slam the advertisers products (if you don’t like it) and if you actually think their product is a good deal, then you endorse it. Different get paid for blogging companies varies in the amount of money they pay to you, but most of them are really good money. Usually, it varies from $5 - infinity.

So what sets apart Smorty from the many many others out there? First, Smorty pays you by your readership. A higher readership usually means high google page rank. So, the higher your google page rank, the higher each ‘opportunities’ or ‘campaigns’ will cost. Even if you don’t have that high of a page rank, the great guys at Smorty, also came up with a unique way to earn more money dubbed smart score system. Smart score system is highly depended on your approved/reject posts ratio, number of completed task and many others. High scores mean high paying opportunities.

Another great feature of Smorty is that, they pay you weekly via Paypal. There’s no need to wait a 30 days grace period. You accept a campaign, blog about it, get approved and receive your money but they end of the week.

PayPerPost, my thoughts

Friday, July 20th, 2007

This blog desperately needs a decent blog update, so why not start with sponsored posts. :D

Jewelle is the first and only (besides me) Bruneian in the massive PPP blog network I know who uses PayPerPost. I was a bit skeptical at first but I signed up anyway.

PPP is ridiculously easy to use. It takes a few days to get your blog approved, but it is definitely worth the wait. After your blog has been approved by the friendly staff, you’re on your way to make some moolah. ‘Opportunities’ are neatly listed on the dashboard and you have the authority to reject or accept ‘opportunities’. ‘Opportunities’ varies from $5 - $x. The value is highly dependent on your blog readership. More readers = high paying opportunites

After your post is reviewed by a PPP staff and marked for approval, they will send the money after 30 days. Simple as that. You get money, advertisers get traffic. It’s a win-win situation.

So far I have done 12 sponsored opportunities. A fraction of the money is going to keep the website up and running. And the rest, well it’s sitting in my Paypal account.

I am planning on my first PPP money splurge. It could be a new phone (because mine is literally falling apart) or something else. I’m not sure yet. :)

Cell phone reviews

Sunday, July 8th, 2007

With the new iPhone released a few weeks ago, news on the iPhone is still going strong. Cell phones reviews are making their way on the internet like wildfire. Sadly, for us living in the Asia region, rumors on the street says that iPhone will not be available for us to drool until 2008.

The iPhone has generated more hype despite the lack of features. For example, no expandable memory card slot, a camera which does not take videos and no personalized ringtone. For US$499++ a pop, it’s one expensive phone. Did I mention that it doesn’t support 3G?

But the iPhone is one great looking device. With crystal clear touch screen, it must be like finger sex with your phone.

I don’t think I have the patience to wait for the iPhone. The best place to find the latest cell phones review is at testfreaks.com.

Testfreaks.com has been very diligently aggregating reviews all around the world wide web and conveniently compiled them for you.

I am eye-ing on the new Nokia N61i.

Sedation Dentistry

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

www.schoolsinstlouis.com offers professional carrier training at St. Louis area colleges. They offer a vast range of professional carrier training from Business Studies to Health Care. One of the carrier choices under Health Care is the Dental Assistant program. The Dental Assistant program is designed to provide students with the necessary dentistry skills.

Everyone has talked about their fear of visiting the dentist. The fear of visiting the dentist usually arises from terrifying and unpleasent past experiences. It’s good to know that you’re not alone, a large number of people had admitted their fear to step into the dentist’s office for a yearly checkup.

Statistically women are 2.5 times more likely to fear the dentist than men. But, is this an accurate statistic? I think the the numbers is slightly lower, as men don’t really talk about their feelings. If not, both women and men fear the dentist.

In order to compensate this ridiculous fear of the dentist, dentists all around the world has come up with sedation dentistry. It’s like music to the ears.

As the name suggest ’sedation dentistry’, means sedating the patients with a particular drug (usually depends on the level of dentist anxiety of the patient). The person will not feel a thing while the dentist is doing their work. Again, the duration of numbness in the mouth, depends on the drug. Some drugs used in ’sedation dentistry’ are Triazolam, Midazolam and Lorazepam.
